Amanda Starr (“I”, “me” or “my”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect through amandastarr.com and the Style Essence quiz, how I use it, and how you can contact me about it.
Information I collect
When you visit my website, Squarespace may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed and interactions with the site.
When you take the Style Essence quiz, I collect the email address you enter, your answers, your result and your choice about whether to receive marketing emails. The quiz is provided through Formester. Your email address is required to submit the quiz; signing up for marketing is optional.
If you contact me, I collect the information you provide in your message so I can respond.
How I use your information
I use your information to:
Operate the website and quiz, calculate and display your result, and give you access to the relevant style guide
Respond when you contact me
Understand how visitors use the website and improve the quiz and my services
Send style tips, updates or offers only if you choose to receive them
Meet any applicable legal obligations
The quiz uses your selected answers to determine a style archetype. Its result is intended as a starting point for exploring your style.
Marketing emails
Taking the quiz does not, by itself, sign you up for marketing. If you opt in, I may email you style content, news and offers. You can withdraw that choice at any time using the unsubscribe instructions in a marketing email or by contacting me. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect your ability to view your quiz result or download your guide.
Services that handle information
I use Squarespace to host the website and provide website analytics, and Formester to run the quiz and store submissions. If you opt in to marketing emails, your contact details may also be handled by the email service I use to send them.
These services handle information on my behalf under their own privacy and security terms. I do not publish individual quiz answers or results.
Cookies and analytics
Squarespace uses cookies needed for the website to function and may use additional cookies for analytics. The embedded Formester quiz may also use its own technologies. Where required, you can make choices about non-essential Squarespace cookies through the cookie controls on this website. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Storage and overseas processing
Squarespace, Formester and any email service I use may store or process information outside Australia. I take reasonable steps to use reputable services and limit access to personal information.
I keep personal information only while it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, or for a longer period where required by law. I delete or de-identify quiz information when it is no longer needed. If you unsubscribe from marketing, I may keep the minimum information needed to respect that request.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
You can contact me to ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw marketing consent, or raise a privacy concern. I’ll respond in accordance with applicable law. Additional rights may apply depending on where you live.
